Drawknife Rehab
I am rehabbing an old drawknife in hopes of making it a usable tool. My progress can be followed on a series of post on this blog.
Galbert Drawsharp
In conjunction with the aforementioned drawknife rehab I am learning to use the newest tool in my arsenal, that is the Galbert Drawsharp. The Drawsharp is the result of a collaboration between chairmaker Peter Galbert and tool maker Jameel Abraham of Benchcrafted fame. I will be making a post on this wonderful item soon.
The finished drawknife. It is now a very usable tool with new cherry handles.
Beautiful!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have it, Ray! Your craftsmanship is timeless! You have an eye and the touch to capture the patina in a piece. Outstanding work!! :)
ReplyDeleteWell done! I've sen some very crude versions of the Maime Chair in pine and Cypress down this way but I hadn't seen one in Windsor Style. Nice execution!
